Harry Potter - HermioneStoryGirl

Fandom, tattoos, and the game of life.

So I've been thinking about tattoos lately. I want to get some tattoos based around fandom. I was thinking about what means a lot to me, and as stupid or cheesy or whatever as it sounds, I really really like the idea of getting a bunch of tattoos that relate to my personal fandoms. I only really want to get a tattoo for the fandoms that I am REALLY a part of, so far I know I want to get two tattoos, one for Harry Potter and the other for Buffy/Angel and I think I want SPN to live out a little while more before I cement my obssessive fanness to that fandom before I get that tat. I'm not sure yet on either of the designs/locations, but for Buffy I'm contemplating a stake through the heart. For Harry Potter I'm thinking of composing a design that is overall book series/deathly hallows related. I would love to get many many HP tats, but I don't really want to get a bunch and then be like Ooops. I really love the idea of this. I'm embarrassed by these tattoo ideas, because not a lot of people know I'm an uber-nerd/fangirl and I feel like they would look down on me or think that the tattoos were stupid, but a part of me doesn't care. I shouldn't get any tattoos with other people in mind, but I'm just the type of person to focus on that aspect of the process.

Above and beyond all the tattoo thoughts, I've decided that from now on my Default Userpic is going to display my current fandom. I surf lots of fandoms, but I primarily stick to one at a time, so I've decided that my default icon will now display whatever fandom I am pondering/reading/writing/into at the moment. :)

Besides fandom I've got a lot of school work for the next couple of weeks, I spent 8 hours at school yesterday finishing up a project that is due on tuesday that took me 16 hours to create. I had to illustrate something in photoshop which is retarded for a ton of reasons I'm not gonna go into. I also have to create 3 magazing ads, a brochure and something else for my design marketing class, that stuff is due a week from wednesday. Finals will soon be stomping me down into a little pulp, but it's okay.

I don't know if I've mentioned, but I've been on a low carb diet since the beginning of the quarter (07/07/07) and I think I've lost a good amount of weight. My clothes fit a bit better and I know I've lost weight in my legs. I'm not sure if my face is thinner or not, probably not, but every time I look in the mirror I try to look for signs. The biggest thing about this whole diet, is how easy it is. It is SO easy to follow, especially with my living situation at current. I eat a LOT of meat and a good amount of cheese and I do consume more veggies than I did last quarter which is awesome. I've also noticed that I eat a LOT less. Yesterday for instance I had 3 hot dogs, with cheese(no bread), two pudding cups, a granola bar, and some meat loaf. Oh and I forgot but I also had another two hotdogs later that night, but still It's pretty much like I ate two meals. But the thing is, that I don't get hungry. It's like, I'm not starving myself, I just don't get hungry as much.

I really like this way of doing things, it's easy, and slightly more expensive, but the end goal will really be worth the TINY effort I am putting into this.

Anywho, enough of me blathering, I am gonna read and then head to bed. :)

P.S. I don't know if I've ever mentioned it, but I have a accout here with lots of fic recs. Feel free to check it out. :D
