Poll and Misc

Okay, so first, poll:

Poll #757683 Random

I use...

Internet Explorer
Net Zero

Second, general stuff:

So Mom and I have been trying to get the money for my computer, but we have to add it to the loan so there's been paperwork and interest issues, but we're dealing I think. We're still waiting on some phone calls.

Went to Wal Mart tonight, aka Hell, took THREE HOURS for a list of like 8 things and I ended up with like 20 things and only 5 from the list. *grumbles*

Got some cute shoes though.

After that, came home and chatted with Wendy and Tyler.

Now time for bed. TTYL.

I use three browsers (almost daily): IE, Firefox and Opera, though Firefox is my primary and prefered browser. I use all three for cross-browser compatability checks on my websites, I check my work e-mail in Opera and use IE for my regular haunts that are IE-only sites. This is all to say that I ticked three boxes as most days I have opened all three at least once.

Walmart might be your hell but it sounds just like my kind of heaven. *g* If I ever make it to the US, Walmart is seriously on my list of stores to visit.

Yay for cute shoes! :D *covets*
That's cool about the browsers, I have MSN IE and want to switch to Opera, but my email isn't POP or whatever. Meh.

Wal Mart *is* hell. It's hot and loud, huge and crowded, it's like shopping in the mall 2 weeks before christmas, everything is on sale and everyone is shopping. Plus, you can't leave without buying at least one or two items you don't even want or need.
IIRC, Opera is ad-supported unless you pay (I've been cracking it right up until they actually had a birthday offer for free licences), which is a bit of a downer but it works well as a primary browser regardless. If you use Gmail at all, Opera is not a full-supported browser, so Gmail doesn't work as well as it does in IE/Firefox.

If you just want to switch away from IE, I recommend Firefox as the first stop. Both it and Opera are in the same league of greatness, but Firefox is free and it has a great many free extensions that can really beef up the browser.

Well, then it might actually be hell, because I hate Christmas-size crowds, though I have no problem leaving with things I never actually needed to buy but did anyway. Hehehe.
Well I love MSN IE, but you have to pay 5 bucks a month for it and I'd rather not pay for it, if I had my choice I'd stick with MSN, how much is Firefox?

Lol about Wal-Mart, yeah, just one thing, never go to Wal-Mart on a Saturday if you do go, that's like the first rule of shopping at wal-mart. Heh

Thanks for the browser info. :D
Firefox is completely free. (link) It can be skinned, and there's a huge community of extension authors/developers, so if the standard browser doesn't do everything you need it to, you can usually find a free add on that will meet your needs. *pimps like a pimping thing*

Hee, I'll remember that tip about Walmart. *locks it away in brain* I tend to avoid all shops on Saturdays, they all turn into madhouses. I prefer to go during the week while school is in. Mmm, quiet shopping. *g*
i go to Target.. i'm not a fan of walmart, on account that every time i go, i either have to return or exchange something.

i use firefox. i've been forced to use IE at work cause my stupid admin-locked computer won't let me install my firefox.

ok, i'm done ranting, sorry :S
