School, Misc, & Fic Recs

Okay so some general stuff first. I'm like way nervous and super excited about school. I'm so frazzled and nervous because HELLO HUGE NEW CITY and HUGE ASS LOAN! Frazzled because I have to send in like 8 billion pieces of paper and I'm not even sure what's due when and OMG STRESS.

So my schooling is going to cost around $50,000 for 2 years. Yes you heard right. 40 grand, but then you gotta factor in housing and bus passes and crap like that. So about 50 grand.

Yes, Stress is my middle name.

I have a ton of stuff to do I feel like. To top that all off my prescription of Zoloft (Anti-Depressants) has run out and I'm not sure if I'm going to be getting it re-filled today or next week or in like 3 weeks. For all of you who don't know, I'm like UBER emo when I'm not on the pills. In the last 2 months my emo-ness has been down significantly due to teh pills.

Hmm What else? Um... Need to clean my room... Need to reply to comments... Need to be a better LJ buddy... Gah.

I missed my ortho appointment last week so I have to go this coming Wednesday. ;(

I've got mal-ware/adware on my computer.

Um... Oh! I've been trying to use Opera (Like IE or Firefox), thanks to darkhavens, but I can't get it to work with my hotmail address. Meh.

I guess that's about it.

Now for fic recs:

any which way you can by traveller (nc17)
Mmm. This is crazy good. Dean and Sam and fighting and fucking.
"Guy walks into a bar, rolls his leather off his shoulders and hands it to his brother, the tall guy coming in just a half-step behind him. Okay, it's not so much a bar and more of a roadhouse, a sawdust on the floor kind of place, like you'd expect to see Sam Elliot any second, you know? Tractor trailer parking out back, no light beer, you know."

They Go East by vylit (R)
I really like this, the casual togetherness that is just sort of inevitable. It's little snippets of Sam & Dean on the way to being Sam/Dean. Inspired (sort of) by Jeff Buckley's 'Dream Brother' and PJ Harvey's 'Teclo.'
"Case follows case, and Sam learns--remembers--how to fight next to Dean, how to move so they complement one another, how to fall into place beside his brother, and how it can be as natural as breathing. It's involuntary and instinctive, and it becomes harder to remember what it felt like before."

Sam & Dean:
Tootsie Pops and Spiders by the_cat_isis (PG)
This is great! So funny and cute. Dean doesn't like spiders... :D
"10 year old Dean Winchester was not scared of anything. Not demons, not ghosts, not poltergeists, nothing. Which is why it didn’t make any sense for him to have an irrational distaste of spiders. Yet he did, which is why he found himself curled up on the living room couch, with a knife under his pillow and a can of raid on the floor next to him."

Thanks! :)

Dude... I want some Bob Evans crepes...mmmm

it's so damn crazy when I hear you americans talk about education and wages. that's 5 times as much as I have to live in a year.

*shakes head*

also, I guess we don't have student loan's around here, because noone would be EVER able to pay back as much.
Heh, I didn't know you were a foreigner. Where are you from?

The thing about loans is, you don't have to start paying them back until you're out of school, and you have a lower interest rate. You're education is like any other investment, at least that's what we're told. :)
I'm from Austria, Vienna. the little funny-shaped country below Germany ;-)
Ya! Osterreich? (And all the Deutsch has completely left my head.)

Sojasprossen. Tachenrechner. Buch. Hausaufgabe. LOL Such important words. :P
Sojasprossen is an important word? Are you a vegetarian? *lol*

I'll teach you another one, that's similar, but is most definitely important: Sommersprossen. Which means the freckles on Jensen's face.

and thanks for the compliment.

did you take German in school?
LOL Sojasprossen is my favorite word. :P It was Tachenrechner there for a while, but then I moved on up to German 2. Yes, I took 3 years of German in the space of 4 years, repeating German 2 once. It's been almost 2 1/2 years since I've been in German class though, and I can't remember much besides the words to 'Kopf, shultern, knee, und fussen,' well that and random words. :D

Sommersprossen just *sounds* cute.

My grandmother speaks German and my Oma (name for my great grandmother) actually still lives in Germany. I'm almost half German, so I decided to take it in school. :P

Weird fact - You're the second person on my flist who speaks German. :D
I could teach you real bad words/phrases. Kopf, Schultern, Füsse - makes me think of... Jensen's Knackarsch. *g*

I pretty much only know scheisstekopf and I suck at spelling btw.

Knackarsch? I wonder what that could be? *g*
Scheisskopf? You'd rarely hear that in Austria. We have a very colorful accent - it's almost like its own language.

Knackarsch - I guess you're on the right path there - it means tight bum. :-)
Gah, also, you speak marvelous English, I mean the way you write... You rock.
50.000 for two years?

...! that's a HUGE amount of money! What school of school is it? (and yes, I understand it's including maintainance expenses, not just just the school, but damn. That's so much!)

UK schools are expensive, but not like that (one of the reasons why I ended up in the UK and not in the US) and Italian schools are brilliant 'cause they are practically free in comparison. Of course, some are better than others and some don't have as many resources as US schools, since the money comes from the government, but still...50.000! *dies of shock*
The school is a small private school, the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and the program I'm going into is that much. The prices all differ depending on your major.

Hee! Yeah, the money is huge, but you get loans and what not. *shrug*
Oh Art Institute! YES! :D
It makes a difference, I'm sure you'll have a grand time (I did four years of Illustration myself, best years of my life, school-wise)

Go you!
*rubs your shoulders*

Go get your meds refilled honey. Don't wait around on that, it's important.

You will LOVE college, I promise.

*smooches you*
Done. LOL Called the doctor earlier. Prescription is ready and waiting.

I'm nervous but still excited about school. Meh.

Thanks babe. *hugs*
I am so proud of you, Ems. I know this is stressful, but I really think it's gonna be worth it in the long run. Don't wait on those meds!
I got the meds refilled, and I hope everything pays off. *is nervous*

Thanks babe! :)
